Using the method proposed by \textit{A. G. Nikitin} [J. Phys. A, Math. Gen. 31, No. 14, 3297--3300 (1998; Zbl 0927.35123)], the author uses discrete symmetries of the Kemmer-Duffin-Petiau (KDP) equation in order to find an explicit form of the Foldy-Wouthuysen transformation.
