Multiple solutions of nonlinear equations via Nielsen fixed-point theory: A survey (English)
0 references
This survey paper indicates the possibilities how to apply the Nielsen fixed-point theory to multiplicity results on differential and integral equations. The applied techniques are basicly elaborated by the author, but the main topological ideas come back to the work of R. F. Brown. This technique consists of a suitable implementation of the homotopy parameter, transforming the original problem to an algebraic one, which becomes available for computing the associated Nielsen number. Many nontrivial examples are supplied and some other possibilities related to some papers of other authors are mentioned.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0958.00012].
