A Galerkin implementation of the generalized Helmholtz decomposition for use in vorticity formulations (English)
0 references
This paper presents a Galerkin implementation of generalized Helmholtz decomposition coupled to Galerkin finite element method to solve the vorticity transport equation. Numerical experiments are performed for illustration. The driven-lid cavity problem is used as benchmark example to show the capabilities of the numerical algorithm.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0955.00057].
