My encounter with chaos (English)

In the early 1960's, the same time as Lorenz did his first works on chaos, Yoshisuke Ueda observed chaos in a periodically forced nonlinear oscillator using an analog computer. This was possibly the first example of a strange attractor. The paper describes the difficult and long way before this research had been acknowledged by the scientific community.
