Optimization algorithms for physically nonlinear structures (English)

The author develops algorithms to obtain optimality criteria that can be used to optimize physically nonlinear structures. Sizing parameters are considered as design variables with prescribed lower limits, and the structures are describes by using the finite element approach. Three optimization subproblems are formulated as a basis for the development of optimization algorithms. Then it is indicated how the algorithms may be employed in the general case of optimization of physically nonlinear structures. Finally, two numerical examples are presented.
