An automatic algorithm for the construction of local shape-preserving interpolating splines in \(\mathbb{R}^3\) is presented. These splines satisfy the invexity and torsion criteria relative to the polygonal line connecting the interpolation points. The resulting curve has continuous curvature and continuous torsion and is obtained via piecewise polynomials of degree 6.
