The author argues against a purely empirical origin of pre-Greek mathematics, and is in favour of an aprioristic component in the process of creation of mathematical notions, particularly in the process of idealization of real world objects to create their mathematical counterparts e.g. in geometry. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEFor the aprioristic viewpoint the philosopher I. Kant is the only reference. So the reader is astonished that there is no mentioning of the more recent ideas from the field of evolutionary epistemology.
