Quasi-balanced torsion-free groups (English)
0 references
Balanced subgroups play an important role in the structural theory of torsion-free Abelian groups. The paper deals with two generalizations of this notion, namely with quasi-balanced and almost balanced subgroups. This enables to replace the completely decomposable torsion-free groups by the almost completely decomposable groups, the structure of which is intensively studied in the past few years. In the last item the Kravchenko classes of finite rank torsion-free groups are generalized by using almost balanced exact sequences instead of balanced exact sequences.
