To the question on stability of shock waves (English)

The authors continue the study of stability of shock waves [see \textit{A. M. Blokhin} and \textit{A. A. Shirnen}, Sib. Zh. Ind. Mat. 3, No. 1(5), 33-46 (2000; Zbl 0962.76042)]. The question regarding shock waves in the context of the surface of strong discontinuity is still open. Considering a linearized problem with respect to a piecewise solution for the equations of moving nonstationary viscous gas (Navier--Stokes equation) and strong discontinuity, the authors prove Lyapunov's instability for the shock solver (which resolves jumps discontinuities in terms of the surface of strong discontinuity) using a numerical approach.
