Two-phase flows of incompressible condensed media and gas (English)
0 references
A model of weakly compressible media based on the assumption of small volume concentration of gas is developed for describing flows of powder mixtures. A strong shock-wave approximation is used to describe the dynamics of strong discontinuities. Various approximate statements of the problem are deduced from a variational principle by restricting the class of functions within which a critical point of the action functional is sought.
