Filtration of a fluid with free boundaries in unbounded regions (English)
0 references
A variational method is used to solve the problems of fluid filtration in unbounded regions. The authors study plane steady flows of incompressible fluid in a porous medium (seam) with unknown free boundaries. Various hydrodynamic regimes of fluid filtration are considered: inflow of fluid to a drain or a well from a porous layer, fluid filtration from an open reservoir through a porous layer (for example, in a plane earth dam or in a porous insert in chemical reactor), and fluid filtration under a hydrotechnological building.
