A quasi-one-dimensional model of the rod-target interaction (English)

Numerical techniques are proposed for determining the integral characteristics of penetration of a rod into a target. An algorithm for solving two-dimensional elastoplastic problems is employed. To construct a solution, a one-dimensional column of finite elements is used (a two-dimensional domain is replaced by a one-dimensional domain).
