Convection modeling in free-boundary domains (English)

A numerical algorithm is presented for the plain heat convection problem for a viscous incompressible fluid with free boundaries. It is based on a transformation of domains with curvilinear moving boundaries into rectangular domains. For testing the algorithm, the following problems are solved numerically: the convection problem for a liquid with free liquid-gas boundary and the Stefan problem for the solid phase fusion.
