Numerical-analytical methods for solving problems of flows past obstacles under the surface of heavy fluid with generation of a soliton (English)

The authors study a plane symmetric flow of ideal incompressible fluid with free boundary around obstacles of finite size. The problem is solved by a numerical-analytical method based both on an analytical improved Levi-Civita method for the flow past a dipole, and on the collocation method for obtaining a numerical solution. A generalization of analytical method obtained by taking into account higher-order flow singularities makes it possible to solve complex flow past an ellipsoidal half-cylinder located at the channel bottom. Solutions are obtained for different semiaxes' ratios including limiting cases such a Stokes wave.
