The paper deals with the concept of a regular complex in a topological space. The defining condition of a regular complex is expressed in terms of connected components for some distinguished sets of the space. The author establishes a theorem which gives three sufficient conditions for a system of subsets in order to be a regular complex. The proof of the theorem is prepared by several propositions. Two examples show that the notion of regular complex is consistent.
