On the Nash-Cournot equilibrium of multi-market oligopolies (English)

The existence and uniqueness of the Nash-Cournot equilibrium of a multi-market oligopoly is proved with linear price functions and quadratic cost functions. The equivalence of the equilibrium problem and a special linear complementarity problem is established and therefore special methods, such as principal pivoting can be applied to find the equilibrium. Stability analysis is then performed with both continuous and discrete time scales.
