Strength analysis of high pressure steel pipes reinforced by composite layers (English)

The authors deal with analytical and experimental investigations to prove the applicability of the clock spring technique by which the safety factor of high pressure transporting steel pipes can be improved. A computer program has been worked out in the frame of linear elasticity, and experiments concerning the pressure-volume change characteristics have been presented. A good correlation between analytical calculation and experiments has been put into evidence.
