The paper deals with the problem on plane deformation of an isotropic strip with a circular hole with radius \(R\). It is assumed that the left end of the strip is fixed while the rigid end is exposed to the constant intersecting force. Under certain additional assumptions the unknown interface between the plastic and elastic regions is determined in view of the univalence of the displacements in the strip.
