The author inveatigates a compound conic shaft in the form of truncated cone whose end cross-sections consist of \(K\) circular rings bounded by the radii \(r_m\) \((m=0,\dots, K)\) for \(z=a\) and \(R_m\) \((m=0,\dots, K)\) for \(z=b\). The shaft cone angles are \(2\alpha_m\) \((m=0,\dots, K)\). The author analyses the steady-state torsion oscillations of the compound shaft under the effect of tangential efforts arbitrary distributed on the lateral surface.
