Postcritical behavior of dissipative nonlinear systems (Q2714628)

The authors investigate the behaviour of a plate with the initial irregularities exposed to the supersonic gas flow and the membrane efforts as the example of the behaviour of dissipative nonlinear systems. Studied is the effect of the initial bending amplitude on system stability. Special attention is focused on the dynamical behaviour of the system at the continuous change of the control parameters. It is shown that in this case a flutter behaviour is possible in stability region.
