Attraction for autonomous mechanical systems with sliding friction (English)

The title problem is studied in the presence of potential hyroscopic dissipative forces and ideal holonomic bilateral constraints. The authors establish conditions of semi-invariance of \(\omega\)-limit sets, and conditions for the dichotomy of such systems. The investigation is based on the invariance principle using several Lyapunov functions, combined with La Salle invariance principle applied to autonomous systems with a discontinuous right-hand side.
