Unsteady spreading of a thin layer of viscous liquid over a curved surface (English)

The authors discuss the process of an irregular spreading of a thin layer of incompressible viscous liquid on an impermeable curved surface. It is assumed that the spreading occurs under the gravitation force. It is shown that the boundary value problem can be reduced to solving a Cauchy problem for equations with a smaller number of independent variables.
