In a two-dimensional linear medium with dispersion, a field is studied which is excited by a moving oscillating source. It is assumed that the source velocity coincides with the group velocity corresponding to its oscillation frequency. The author discusses the asymptotics of the wave field in the far area for large times \(t\). Also the case of degenerate stationary point of dispersion function is studied. The construction of the asymptotics is outlined for the resonance case for the three-dimensional problem.
