The material for this book is selected with an excellent mathematical taste, as is always the case with Ross Honsberger, and the book is very well written. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEAs has been the case with all of this author's books, this is another compilation of secondary mathematics problems that were published in other books and magazines. The author once again produces a mathematical kaleidoscope, where unrelated sections are offered solely for reader's enjoyment. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINETwo natural questions stem from the nature of these books. Since all problems and great majority of solutions were authored and published elsewhere, would it not be appropriate to qualify the creator of the book as compiler and/or editor rather than author? Also, the book is a means of self-expression for its creator, but when the entire material comes from other publications, it reduces to an expression of the creator's taste alone. Ross Honsberger possesses a marvelous taste, but nonetheless this is one taste, which has been well documented by Gems, Morsels, Plums, Chestnuts, More Morsels, more \& more Gems, etc. The Mathematical Association of America should be broader on taste not to recycle one and the same taste over and over again! NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEHaving said that, the book would serve as a worthwhile addition for extra curricular work of secondary mathematics teachers and their students, as well as for enjoyment of mathematics enthusiasts.
