Teaching statistics. Resources for undergraduate instructors (English)

This publication will be of interest for all people teaching statistics to undergraduates. The editor has made a good job in selecting the materials. After the celebrated paper of George Cobb (``Teaching Statistics: More Data, Less Lecturing'') where the aims and reasons for changing statistics education are clearly presented, the book deals with key issues that may be useful in order to make positive changes: bibliography, textbooks, the role of data, actice learning by virtue of projects, laboratory activities, assessment beyond classical testing, web resources and impact of technology. Practical experiences provide further evidence on the need of searching for an innovative view of statistics.
