Incompatibilities between different web-browsers make it difficult to use Dynamic HTML to add advanced features to web sites. The author focuses on answering many questions arising from this problem, without getting sidetracked into general HTML or XML issues.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe first part of this book gives an introduction to the technology used to create interactive sites, with a focus on the major similarities and differences between Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Part Two is a tutorial, it explains which scripting and HTML commands are acceptable for use in both browsers, and how to use those commands. This part of the book has loads of code and plenty of descriptive text explaining each command. Part Three of this book provides information on Web design-related issues, such as planning, preparation, and some tips and tricks that goes into a Web site. The various accessibility features of HTML that make working on the Web easier are also discussed in this section.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEIt should be mentioned, that the author doesn't give a step-by-step tutorial on how to program JavaScript from the ground up. The reader is assumed to have at least elementary knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
