On network models and the symbolic solution of network equations. (English)
0 references
The author presents an overview of the methods used to formulate and solve network equations from the historical perspective. Topological aspects related to one-dimensional networks are emphasized and shown that they apply to a wide variety of real-world systems. General topological rules for symbolic solutions of multiport networks where the network graph has been modified, if necessary, so that all multiports have an admittance representation are derived. In the last part of the paper nonlinear multiport networks as well as multidimensional networks related to examples from civil engineering are given.
