The vanishing of modular symmetry classes of tensors (English)
0 references
Let \(G\) be a subgroup of the symmetric group \(S_m\). Then \(G\) acts on any tensor space \(T=V^{\otimes m}\) by place permutation. The paper under review studies direct summands of such representations \(T\) in prime characteristic, which are obtained e.g. by multiplying \(T\) with a block idempotent.
