New elements for the study of the `Introduction to the art of logic' by Ibn Ṭumlūs (died 620 H. /1223) (Q2717240)

By comparing the treatise mentioned in the title with a (still unedited) \textit{Commentary on the poem on medicine by Ibn Sinā} by Ibn Ṭumlūs, the author is able to correct the dating of the author current in books on Arabic literature by some 10 to 20 years. Since it is known that Ibn Ṭumlūs calls himself the student of Ibn Rushd but that his logic is based only on the work of al-Fārābī and never mentions Ibn Rushd, the author suggests that the Introduction was written before its author had contact with Ibn Rushd and the Introduction afterwards.
