Vibration of annular elliptic orthotropic plates using two-dimensional orthogonal polynomials. (English)
0 references
The effect of orthotropy on transverse vibrations of annular elliptic and circular plates is investigated for all possible boundary conditions at the edges. Two-dimensional orthogonal polynomials generated by presented recurrence scheme are used as shape functions in Rayleigh-Ritz method; these shape functions turn out to be quite convenient for computer implementation.
