Stress analysis in two-dimensional domains using a nonlocal damage model and the boundary element method (English)
0 references
A boundary element formulation for stress analysis of a particular damage evolution problem, the so-called grid-damage model, is presented. A simple solution strategy is based on an extension of the original BEM subregion implementation: a grid of subregions is defined, and material constants of the respective fundamental solutions vary in accordance with the damage process. A number of examples are included.
