Implicit time accurate simulation of unsteady flow (English)
0 references
The article studies the problem of time integration for the unsteady shock-boundary layer interaction flow. The authors propose an implicit second-order Crank-Nicolson scheme based on control-volume approach together with higher-order TVD scheme for the convective flux. The nonlinear system of discrete equations is treated by the pseudo-time relaxation with the internal loop of the Gauss-Seidel method. The algorithm is carefully analyzed and computationally compared to the second-order Runge-Kutta scheme. The paper is related to results of other authors such as \textit{W. L. Ijzerman} and \textit{E. van Groesen} [Eur. J. Mech., B, Fluids 20, No. 6, 821--840 (2001; Zbl 1034.76015)].
