Several recent papers have shown that the group of units of a given ring contains a free group on two generators. This is usually done via the well-known Tits alternative.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe present paper gives an explicit construction in the group of units of quaternion rings. The approach is fairly elementary and nicely presented.
