Some classes of Diophantine equations connected with McFarland's and Ma's conjectures (English)
0 references
In connection with some conjectures on difference sets, the authors consider some types of Diophantine equations, e.g. NEWLINE\[NEWLINE x^2=2^{2a}k_1^{2t_1}\ldots k_s^{2t_s}y^2- 2^{a+b}k_1^{t_1+r_1}\ldots k_s^{t_s+r_s}\delta+1 NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \(a,b,k_i,t_i,r_i\) are natural numbers, \(\delta\in\{-1,1\}\). Using Pellian equations, all solutions \(x,y\) are described.
