Multipliers of heteroclinic cycles (English)

It is known [the authors, Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. 6, 691-704 (2000; Zbl 1009.37017)] that the multipliers for transverse homoclinic orbits are invariant under differential conjugation and measure the global expansion or contraction along the homoclinic when the local effects are factored out. The authors demonstrate that the multipliers influence characteristics, such as thickness and Hausdorff dimension, of the invariant sets which arise from the homoclinic orbit. In this note they extend these ideas to the case of transverse heteroclinic cycles.
