Rank reduction in state feedback regulators and its significance behaviour (English)
0 references
State feedback control for linear multivariable systems is investigated. It is assumed that in addition to given closed-loop eigenvalues a reduction of the number of the inputs is demanded. Some inputs therefore must be proportional to others. This can be achieved by introducing a parametric state feedback matrix. The problem is illustrated by a numerical example. In an appendix, the parametrization of the feedback matrix is briefly reviewed.
