The paper concerns non-compact manifolds with boundary of bounded geometry. The author proves that ,for these manifolds, the definition of bounded geometry by coordinate-free curvature bounds is equivalent to bounded geometry defined using bounds on the metric tensor in geodesic coordinates. For this purpose the present author produce a nice atlas with subordinate partition of unity on manifolds with boundary of bounded geometry.
