The paper deals with the numerical simulation of the dynamics of topological solutions in coupled sine-Gordon chains. The author derives symmetrical and antisymmetrical impurity modes corresponding to in-phase and out-of-phase oscillations of the coupled chains. He also uses the collective coordinate method to describe the dynamics of pairs of topological solitons interacting with localized impurities.
