Two-dimensional simulations of valveless pumping using the immersed boundary method (English)
0 references
Using immersed boundary method, the authors present a numerical study of two-dimensional fluid flow driven by valveless pumping. The fluid flows in a loop of tubing consisting of an almost-rigid part and of a flexible part being forced periodically in time. The paper contains some new finding important for biomedical and industrial applications.
