The authors analyse geometrical and physical characteristics of larynx and cavity adjacent to it in terms of aerohydromechanics. Basing on this analysis a physical model of this system is proposed. It is shown that the level and character of the noise spectrum generated by the air flow through the glottis depends on the glottis dimensions and the air flow velocity. In particular, it is discovered that the symmetry decrease of the glottis shape, increase of its dimensions and lowering of the air flow velocity yield the decrease of the noise integral level generated by the air flow.
