The paper deals with a hydroelastic system consisting of the elastic layer between semibounded liquid media. It is assumed that the liquids posses different physical properties. The authors analyse the effect of different liquid media on the wave propagation in the waveguide. The obtained results are compared with those established for the elastic layer being in contact within similar semibounded liquid media.
