In this paper axisymmetric oscillations are considered excited by a spherical body in half bounded column of compressible liquid in circular cylindrical cavity. In contrast to the paper by \textit{V.~D.~Kubenko} [Prikl. Mekh., Kiev 23, No.~4, 119--122 (1987)] the boundary value problem for the potential under consideration contains the condition on the end boundary of the volume being a free liquid surface. For the pressure field the cases are scrutinized when the wave lengths are not smaller than the cavi ty radius.
