Oscillations localized near the free end of semi-infinite open momentless cylindrical shell (English)

The authors present sufficient conditions under which there exist free oscillations of semi-infinite open cylindrical shell with arbitrary smooth directing curve. It is shown that under some conditions the oscillations are exponentially damping starting from the free end of the shell. It is assumed that the shell is hinged-supported by two generatrices, and its bending rigidity equals to zero. The limits for the shell parameters variation are determined for which the free oscillations exist with motion localization near the edge in eigenforms and the values of the corresponding eigenfrequencies are calculated.
