This is a short survey of the life and the activities of Professor Galiullin (26.11.1919-17.04.1999). The author stresses Galiullin's contribution to analytical mechanics, motion stability and control theory. In addition to his scientific activity Galiullin carried out successfully a great organizing and pedagogical work.
