On perfect group actions on the set of compact subsets (English)
0 references
The author finds an answer to the following question: What conditions should be imposed on the group actions so that the induced action on the exponent would have closed orbits? Note that the exponent properties were scrutinized in [\textit{R.~Engelking}, General topology (1977; Zbl 0373.54002)]. The author shows that the property of the ``perfect'' group action on a completely regular space is preserved when passing to the induced action on the exponent. This is one of the possible answers to the posed question.
