The author presents an algebraic interpretation of the characteristic directions of point correspondences between two three-dimensional projective spaces \(P_3\) and \(P_3'\) attributed to arbitrary chosen systems of affine coordinates as eigenvectors of some linear operator. This allows to classify the characteristic configurations and to solve problems of bending the corresponding quadratic \(\omega\)-systems; see \textit{Ju. V. Pavljuchenko} and \textit{V. V. Ryzhkov} [Itogi Nauki Tekh. Ser. Probl. Geom. 16, 3-34 (1984; Zbl 0575.53011)].
