The Hausdorff dimension and packing dimension of a set generated by a Markov chain with finite state space are studied. The authors use Markov properties and the strong law of large numbers to investigate properties of Hausdorff dimension and packing dimension which are useful for calculating the fractal dimension for some particular sets.
