Consider the scalar nonautonomous logistic equation with finite delay \( x'=x f(t,x_t), x\geq 0, \) where \(f \) is a monotone decreasing functional. By using the lower and upper solution method, the author obtains a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a bounded and uniformly positive solution to this equation. Sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability of this solution are given.
