Exact method of solution of free vibrations problem for one-dimensional rheological structures (English)

The author obtains an exact solution of free vibrations of one-dimensional rheological structure. The solution is obtained in the complex Hilbert space using the orthogonality of complex eigenvectors. The author considers longitudinal vibrations of a bar, torsional free vibrations of circular shaft, and transverse vibrations of Bernoulli-Euler beam and Timoshenko beam.
