This paper deals with an extension of the classical discrete distributions by including an additional parameter. More precisely, the families of inflated-parameter power series distributions (IPSD) and inflated-parameter generalized power series distributions (IGPSD) are defined and the probability mass functions of the distributions of the family IGPSD are found in several cases.
